Description

Naval Air Warfare Center -- Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Point Mugu, California, intends to issue a solicitation (RFQ) and award a contract on a sole source basis to Motorola Incorporated, of Hanover, Maryland. The MOTOROLA PRM-100 radio system consists of 2 each, URC-200 transceivers and is a VHF/UHF government band radio that supports both AM, FM wideband, and narrowband communications. Application: portable communications suite. Equipment size, space, and weight are all important factors -- the radio fits in a rack space of 5.25 inches within a 19-inch equipment rack. Compatibility with existing interface equipment and software is critical -- the radio must be compatible with the Motorola Long Arm software for both remote control and diagnostics. This ad is not a request for bids. FOB Destination pricing is requested. Closing date of the Request for Quotation will be on or before 05/24/01. All responsible sources may submit a bid which if received in a timely manner will be considered by the agency. Requests for a copy of the RFQ must be made in writing.
