THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR 6 TON BRIDGE CRANE, SOL F46CRF40780100. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/solicitation and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide potential quoters with an item description correction as reads in CBD Announcement published 20 April 2001 6 TON BRIDGE CRANE is corrected to read 6 TON UNDERHUNG BRIDGE CRANE, as well as the questions received in regard to this solicitation and the answers thereto as follows: Question 1: Are we to supply the runway bean for the crane system? Answer to Question 1: No. Question 2: If we are to supply the runway beam .What are the runway support centers? How long is the runway? What is the desired elevation? How do we attach the runway to the building structure? Clamp? Shim and Bolt? Hanger Rod? Answer to Question 2: No. Question 3: If we do not supply the runway beam .What is the size of the runway beam and elevation? Answer to Question 3: Attach new bridge crane to existing crane rails. Question 4: Do we supply the runway electrification? 3 or 4 bar? Tagline? What can we use to support the electrification bar? Answer to Question 4: Use existing 3 bar. Question 5: Are building drawings available? New building? Existing Building? Answer to Question 5: Existing building, drawings are available upon written request. Question 6: Will the building have a clear floor for our installation? Will we be able to drive a flat bed truck with the crane into the building? What is the door size? Answer to Question 6: Yes, Door size is 20' x 20'. Question 7: The bridge crane speeds are conflicting 160 fpm VFD or 80/20 fpm two speed? Answer to Question 7: Bridge Crane speed is 80/20 fpm. Question 8: Please confirm the crane span of 35'-0". Is the overhang of 9'-6" only required at one end of the crane or both ends? Or is the overhang 4'-9" at each end? Standard overhang for this crane is 1'6". Answer to Question 8: Crane span is 35'-0", overhang is required at both ends. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. There are no changes to the terms and conditions or addenda clauses.
