Description

In accordance with OMB Circular A-76 and its Supplemental Handbook, the Military District of Washington Acquisition Centers will be issuing solicitation DADW35-01-R-0011 on or about 24 May 2001 for the Fort Myer Military Community (FMMC) Base Operations functions. The Fort Myer Military Community encompasses Fort Myer located in Arlington, Virginia; Fort McNair located in Washington, D.C.; and two communication tower sites at Tyson Corner, Virginia and Suitland, Maryland. The functions identified at FMMC as commercial activities under OMB's Circular A-76 include: Public Works; Logistics; Plans, Training, Mobilization & Security; Office of the Commander; Headquarters Command; Resource Management ; and Personnel & Community Activities. These functions provide for environmental, engineering, housing, program management, general management, administrative, training, recreation, library, marketing , and business operations. This action will be competed on an UNRESTRICTED basis. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210 for Base Maintenance with a size standard of $20 Million. The apparent successful offeror will compete with the Government In-House Most Efficient Organization (MEO). The resultant contract will be a Fixed Price Award Fee type for a 12 month base period with four(4)one year option periods. The solicitation and all amendments will be issued via the World Wide Web at mdwsps2.belvoir.army.mil/DADW35-01-R-0011.htm. NO PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION OR ANY AMENDMENTS WILL BE PRINTED, MAILED OR PROVIDED. No public announcements of any amendments will be made. Vendors are advised to periodically check the web page for new amendments or other updates. The solicitation will be posted on the stated web page on or about 24 May 2001 with an initial closing date established for 3 August 2001. No solicitation mailing will be compiled and none will be provided. A site visit and pre-proposal conference will be conducted at Fort Myer Military Community approximately two weeks after the solicitation issue date; the date and time will be contained in Section L of the solicitation. Interested offerors are encouraged to attend the site visit and pre-proposal conference.
