- Description
- The Immigration & Naturalization Service, Administrative Center Laguna, is requesting a quotation for the installation of nine (9) rooftop air conditioner units and three (3) commercial diesel generator sets for three (3) Bluebird buses. The contractor is to provide and install all equipment, labor, materials, transportation, and supervision to provide three (3) new rooftop air conditioner units (136,000 BTU) and one (1) new commercial diesel generator set (10.0kw) per bus, for two (2) Bluebird buses, model year 1994, and one (1) Bluebird bus, model year 1993. Installation will be as follows: Install one (1) diesel generator set (10.0kw) to run three (3) air conditioner units (136,000 BTU) on top of each bus. Install three (3) air conditioner units (136,000 BTU each) to be placed in the ceiling of each bus. Relocate ceiling lights, if necessary, to install air conditioner units. Remove or modify existing air conditioner units, including removal of Freon, if required. Modify baggage compartment to install diesel generator and all wiring, including a fabricated frame for generator. Modify rear bus floor to allow for generator to fit, if necessary. Install fuel lines for generator and tap them into existing engine fuel system. Install wiring from generator in baggage compartment to driver compartment. Install switches for each unit and generator with main control switches and control box with relays on the middle driver's side of the front dashboard of buses. All quotations must only be from contractors within a 120-mile radius of El Centro, CA. Successful offeror will be required to complete the information as required in 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, as a condition of award. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation ACL-1-Q-0018 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-21. This solicitation is issued as a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business, with a small business size standard of $5 million. The NAICS code is 811118. Prices are preferred FOB Destination to the Immigration & Naturalization Service, El Centro Service Processing Center, 1115 Imperial Hwy., El Centro, CA 92243. Contractors quoting FOB Origin MUST include shipping/handling charges. Questions should be directed to the POC, Heidi Yahr, Purchasing Agent, at 949-360-3066. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible offeror based on the best combination, as determined by the agency, of price, geographic location, and delivery time. Quotations must be submitted on company letterhead and be signed by an authorized official. All quotations shall be clearly marked with the offeror's name, solicitation number, solicitation name, and date/time quotation is due. Quotes may be submitted by written fax to 949-360-3013, Attn: Heidi Yahr, no later than 4:00 pm PDT, May 16, 2001.
