Description
Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information from industry regarding high capacity chemical analytical services. We are interested in receiving information from vendors capable of conducting thermal desorption and qualitative, full scan Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GS/MS) analysis of between 100 and 5,000 chemical air samples per week. Analytes will be sorbed in a polymeric resin sorbent similar to Tenax TA and contained in a passive diffusive sampler badge. Sorbed analytes will be unknown. The surface of the sampler badge may contain contamination in the form of hazardous chemicals, unidentified biological material, and debris. The badge is designed to allow easy transfer of sorbent to a clean metal tube for desorption. The sampling badges will be delivered to the analytical facility in a decontaminated overpacking container or bag. Analytical facilities and processes must meet applicable industry standards. Samples and Data must be tracked. No sampling materials are to be reused and must be disposed of IAW applicable regulations. Detailed review of data may be required. Vendors are invited to submit a company overview, and relevant documentation regarding capabilities and services offered. Where possible, include pricing and lead times. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES OR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME. Responses, questions, or comments regarding this Request for Information (RFI) shall be directed as delineated below.
