Description

Architect Engineer to provide design services in full support of a project to correct deficiencies in the Outpatient department, specifically Pharmacy, Radiology, Prosthetics, Patient Education, and other related areas. Design work is anticipated to include up to 5,600 square feet of new space, remodeling of 3,500 square feet of existing space, and revising equipment and ductwork for related HVAC systems. All design work shall be completed in accordance with VA Design Guides and VA Design and Construction Standards. All design work shall be completed on the currect version of AutoCAD, with the exception of schemeatic designs used for discussions of alternatives. Design steps shall include concept/schematic plans, design development, and construction documents. Design contract work to be completed to provide for a construction contract award during Fiscal Year 2002. Selection of a design firm shall be based on overall previous experience with these types of projects, and the ability to provide an acceptable design within the applicable time constraints. Construction cost range is between $2,000,000. and $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to the state of Iowa. Firms desiring consideration should submit a written request and completed SF 254 and 255. Responses due no later than June 22, 2001.
