Description

USDA, APHIS, Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) requires a contract for temporary lodging for employees attending training in Frederick, Maryland. Offers are being solicited for consideration for a firm, fixed-priced, requirements contract for the period of June 1, 2001, or date of award, whichever is later, through September 30, 2001, with unilateral options to extend the effective period of the contract on a month-to-month basis for up to an additional 6 months. At this time, PPQ anticipates the need for an estimated thirt-two (32)1-bedroom, fully furnished, efficiency/studio units for the period of on or about August 6, 2001, through on or about October 4, 2001. The units shall be located within a 12 mile radius of the Professional Development Center, 69 Thomas Johnson Drive, Frederick, Maryland, and include security access, daily cleaning/maid service, on-site laundry facilities, paid utilities and trash pickup, and telephone and voice mail service (telephone and services shall be billed to employees biweekly). A complete listing of PPQ's minimum requirements and contract terms and conditions are included in the Solicitation package (request for proposals -- RFP). The RFP will be issued on May 8, 2001. This is an unrestricted procurement. All responsive and responsible offers will be considered. Offers are due to the Contracting Officer by 2:30 P.M., Central Time, on Tuesday June 5, 2001.
