Description

The Earth Sciences Procurement Office (Code 219) announces the opening of its Earth Sciences Procurement Library. The library is established to provide meaningful information about current contracts and future contract competitions administered and conducted by Code 219. Its intent is to foster and enhance Code 219 competitive acquisitions. The library will include redacted copies of Code 219 contracts, their modifications, and task orders; redacted copies of contract reports or other deliverable items; relevant Earth Sciences publications; and other documentation. This information is provided to permit potential offerors to become more knowledgeable about performance on current contracts and about future contract competitions. The library has been established at the following location: ACTIVITY: Code 219 Earth Sciences Procurement Library COMPLETE ADDRESS: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Building 33, Room D304 Greenbelt, MD 20771 TELEPHONE NUMBER: (301) 614-5589-Appointment and Circulation GSFC CODE 219 COORDINATOR: Ms. Cassandra Atkinson (Ms. Atkinson is located in Bldg 33, Room E223) APPOINTMENTS: An appointment is required for browsing in the library and for document checkout from the library since the D304 office space is limited. Appointments can be scheduled 8:30am -- 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except on Federal holidays. An appointment can be made by calling Ms. Atkinson at (301) 614-5589. DOCUMENT LOGS: Whenever visitors check out information, they must record such actions in the document logs provided in the library. PENALTY FOR MISUSE: Failure to return any document within 24 hours may result in denial of future access to the library. COMPLAINTS: Comments and complaints can be addressed to the Earth Sciences Procurement Manager, Mr. William Hatchl. LIBRARY SERVICES: Please be advised that no supplies or copying of materials are provided. Two copies of all available materials will be in the library. One copy will be for checkout and the other copy must remain in the library at all times. Offerors desiring to retain temporarily copies of documents may check them out for copying elsewhere as long as the materials are returned within 24 hours. Any information received is for informational purposes only, and should be used at the offeror's discretion and risk. All official information on a competitive procurement will be contained in its DRFP, responses and disposition of those responses to its DRFP, and its final RFP, including any amendments. The library will be continually updated. No notices will be provided when any additional information is placed in the library. It will be the offeror's responsibility to periodically visit the library. Offerors are invited to comment on the contents of the procurement library. Should needed information not be available in the library, please request that such information by added. Such requests should be submitted to the Earth Sciences Procurement Manager.
