Description
This amendment hereby adds TAB A, which had been inadvertently omitted in the originial combined synopsis/solicitation of Solicitation Number 1435-01-01-PR-31162. TAB A -- Middleware must meet the following requirements: 1. Must be able to receive defined files from DMLSS AIS. 2. Ability to Process Incoming DMLSS AIS files and to Spin Carousels to Fill Pick Lists. 3.Ability to do this by converting DMLSS AIS files into electric impulses recognized by the Raymond Carousel System. 4.Basic Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Capabilities. 5. Support of Approximately 1900 Fixed Locations with the Capability to Manage Multiple Locations for the Same Product. 6. Ability to Calculate Most Efficient Spin (Closest Item Location) and to Select Items in Correct Sequencing of the Carousels. 7.Printing Capability for Pick List when Order is Filled (Including Credit Information if Applicable) 8. Capability to Process Incoming DMLSS Data for New Inventory (Receipts) and to Specify Storage Locations (Carousel and Warehouse) 9.Support of Independent Manual Spin of "Cart Carousels" (Without Bringing Entire System Down) 10. Capability to Interface Light Bars with Pick List Fills 11. Support of the "Hot Picks" Operation to Support Urgent Customer Requisitions 12. Bi-Directional Transfer and Receipt of data from DMLSS AIS. If bi-directional interface not ready, middleware must produce reports that provide information necessary to maintain accurate inventory information in DMLSS AIS. Files for transfer of information, however, should be available in the middleware software. 13. Storage of Inventory Information and Item Locations (General Stores and Warehouse) 14. Capability to Identify like Items in Different Package Sizes in Support of Smaller End-Use Packaging and Larger Bulk Issue Packaging 15. Processing and Electronic Transfer of Inventory Update Information Back to DMLSS (Order Fills, Shortages, Spot Inventories) If bi-directional interface not ready in current version, middleware must produce reports that provide information necessary to maintain accurate inventory information in DMLSS. Files for transfer of information, however, should be available in middleware software.
