Description

B -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are seeking proposals to obtain longitudinal and nationally representative data on vaccination attitudes and practices of pediatricians and family physicians and their patients. Data will be used to characterize rates and types of concern regarding safety of childhood vaccinations and measure provider and parent confidence in the safety of vaccines; identify questions and concerns of parents about alleged side effects; and assess patient education methods and materials used in childhood immunizations. Project includes development of collection instrument, data collection and analysis of data as well as various reports. Period of performance is 48 months. In addition to Past Performance and Cost evaluation, Technical evaluation criteria includes: 1) Understanding objectives and needs of project; 2) Previous Experience; 3) Quality of the Technical Proposal; 4) Personnel Qualifications and Management Plan; 5) Facilities. Technical criteria are more important in the evaluation than cost. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing during the inquiry phase after the solicitation is posted. The estimated date of release at the www.eps.gov website is on or about May 23, 2001. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be mailed nor will a source list be maintained. All responsible sources may submit offers which will be evaluated in accordance with evaluation criteria.
