- Description
- The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (UASAMDC) is requesting SOURCES SOUGHT information from contractors with experience qualifying them to perform a wide variety of tasks dealing with radar discrimination analysis and design. It is the intent of the government to sole-source this follow-on effort to Xontech, Incorporated. However, all capability statements received will be reviewed and taken into consideration. The contractor will be required to develop, refine, automate, and integrate radar discrimination algorithms in areas established over the last decade, including precision motion, scintillation, data fusion, bandwidth expansion, non-stabilized RV, kill assessment, etc. The contractor must also have expertise to enable development of cutting edge advanced radar discrimination algorithms consistent with current ballistic missile defense systems (therefore, extensive knowledge of the design of current National and Theater Missile Defense program radar systems software is needed). This effort will require the capability to perform extensive algorithm testing on existing discrimination testbeds, as well as development of new test tools and integration of these tools into the testbed. The contractor must know the procedure and status of the testing of radar algorithms currently being evaluated in the Project Hercules Test Team. An extensive experience in working with real-world threat radar data is required to enable development of specialized threat models to be used in testing radar discrimination algorithms in stressing environments such as nuclear effects and advanced countermeasures. Respondents should supply a one-page letter of interest, which 1) identifies the company, 2) describes the company's experience and capabilities that would enable it to perform this effort. This effort is not open to allied firms at either the prime or subcontract level.
