Description

National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) Project STL 01-0108, Remove/Relace PAC Units in Building 36, Section 1E, at the facility located at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO. Work consists of all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the removal and replacement of PAC units. Work includes (a) the removal of 12 PAC units and their related power and EMCS controls and (b) the replacement of one PAC unit. Also, the removal of piping and the installation of new valving, pipe capping and flooring at removed PAC unit locations and adjacent areas. Included is the installation of new piping, valving, controls, and electrical service for a new replacement PAC unit. The work shall be performed by a general or mechanical contractor who has 5 years experience in air handling systems and their related electrical and EMCS control systems. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 90 calendar days. Liquidated damages will apply to this project. The approximate cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The NAIC code for this project is 233320, $27.5 million. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for an award. The solicitation document will be available from NIMA at no charge. All interested parties must submit a written request to NIMA, PCS, MS L-13, Attention: D. This solicitation will not be available through electronic data interchange. The solicitation will include all plans and specifications required for bidding. A site visit will be scheduled and the date/time will be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 25May01 and will close on or about 25Jun01. All responsible contractors with the required experience may submit a sealed bid, which shall be considered by the Agency. All bids must be submitted in writing. See Note 1.
