Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supervision, transportation, and disposal to demolish and replace seven (7) tank house aids to navigation towers at various locations on Lake Champlain, NY and VT. Towers range in height from 40' to 60'. Towers have tested positive for lead based paint. Demolish and remove associated concrete foundations and replace in kind. Three of the seven towers may be reuseable. Demolition of the foundations depends on site condition at time of construction. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 22 May 2001. The date for receipt of bids is on or about 21 June 2001 at 2:00 pm local time. Estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS code is 234990. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract.
