Description

The contract work consists of the construction of asphalt paving of recreation areas at Lake Barkley, Grand Rivers, Kentucky. This contract will be a requirements contract for a base year plus four option years. The requirements may include the following: Base, prime coat, asphalt mixture, tack coat, surface asphalt mixtures, reshaping and compaction, pavement striping (w/layout), pavement restriping, painting of handicap parking symbols, painting of directional arrows, pavement sealing and rectangular concrete curbing. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 21 May 2001; Paper copies will not be available. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet at the following address: http://www.orn.usace.army.mil on or after issue date of the solicitation. No written or fax requestsfor solicitation will be accepted. Bidswill be opened on or about 21 June 2001 at 2 PM (CST). This solicitation requires bid bonds with the bid equal to 20 percent of the bid price NTE $3 million. Performance and Payment bonds will be required at 100 percent of the bid price. Completion time for this projectis 365 days from date of award. This procurement is Unrestricted. The NAICS code is 23411 with a size standard of $27.5 million. The estimated range of the project is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. All contractors must be registered in DoD's Central Contract Register at http://www.ccr2000.com before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Instructions will be included in the Solicitation.
