Description

The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center intends to award a purchase order to KEMA Registered Quality for re-certification and continuing surveillance audits for conformance to ISO 9001. The Engineering Logistics Center is currently ISO 9001 Certified through KEMA Registered Quality. In order to maintain ISO 9001 Certification for an additional three (3) year period, it is intended to award a firm-fixed price service contract with options. It has been determined in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii)(A) that negotiations will be conducted with only KEMA Registered Quality to maintain technical continuity in using the same Registrar. As the current Registrar, KEMA has a unique technical knowledge of the ELC's Quality Manual and work processes, along with the structure of the organization. See Numbered Notes 22 and 26. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
