- RFP No. GSA-TFI-2001-039 Title: Partnership for Peace Information Management System (PIMS) Request For Proposals (RFP), Solicitation Number GSA-TFI-2001-039 for the Partnership for Peace Information Management System (PIMS) Follow-On Contract can be expected on or about 17 May 2001. This PIMS requirement consists of a scope of specified services in support of PIMS databases worldwide. The requirement defines a number of functional task areas to support. PIMS sites are presently located in Former Eastern-Bloc (FEB) countries, Belgium, England, and the United States. The follow-on contract will provide for support to expansion and existing PIMS sites within 30-days of contract award. The follow-on contractor will: _stand up_ SATCOM, Internet, and other support services_ capabilities to feed the FEB and other locations currently in operation. Establish a new PIMS-contractor HQ location (currently in CONUS). Transition the day-to-day PIMS operations-center activities in England (a US facility) to their control. Initiate contact with all FEB-country coordinators. Accept add on task orders under the contract task areas terms and conditions based on specific work statements as GSA defines. PIMS program manager requires expansion and growth to support OASD C3I program objectives. These objectives are driven by US Policy requirements. For this contract Databases (DBs) and their aspects, their distribution, their functionality for a particular purpose as PIMS program management defines therefore must meet US Policy objectives in their implementation and promulgation. This also necessarily considers user-limitations and expectations. PIMS BD users are the US Government, NATO, and the FEB-country partners. Continuity of services will apply to any resulting contract. This contract will require access to classified information.
