Description

The purpose of this notice is to provide questions and answers on solicitation number 1-060-RFI.1080 for one Optical Spectrum Analyzer. The Questions and Answers are as follows: 1. Question Is the 400nm range on the low end of the specifications a requirement? Would a 600nm to 1750nm range Optical Spectrum Analyzer be acceptable? Answer Our requirement is based primarily on measuring the throughput of optical systems using a pulsed or CW Nd:YAG laser as a source, both at its fundamental (1064 nm) and doubled wavelength (532nm). As a consequence, the operating range has been chosen to allow both wavelengths to be covered with ample measurement margin. A range of 600 nm to 1750 nm does not adequately cover the required measurement range. The due date for receipt of offers remains unchanged at May 11, 2001. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on May 11,2001.
