Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Connecticut Army National Guard requires supply and delivery of 3 modular vault systems for delivery and installation in Newington, Windsor Locks and Enfield, CT. Provide all vault work to include vault doors, interior caging and accessories. There is no demolition work and no site work required for this project. Existing floor substrate will be prepared as required by the manufacturer's instructions for installation of a new vault system. The systems shall be UL Class M rated systems, meeting Federal Specification AA-V-2737. The vaults shall be comprised of lightweight GSA approved panels, 8'0" high. Each completed vault system shall be five sided and include one door, access for electrical, phone and alarm system. Vault floors are not required. The vault system shall utilize bolted connections to allow for possible relocation. Vault door shall be GSA Approved, Class 5, with a combination lock. Clear opening on the door should be 40" wide. Contractors shall request drawings that will show dimensions, and also wire mesh partitions that subdivide the vault area. Mesh shall be 10 gauge, 1.5" diamond pattern, with shop coat finish, wire mesh doors shall be 3' single swing doors. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business participation. A firm fixed price contract is expected. Descriptive literature of your proposed product is required, descriptive literature must be of the type and detail to allow for a definitive determination of compliance with the specifications. Offerors must submit a copy of provision 52.212-3 with their quote, it may be obtained at www.arnet.gov/far . Offerors are encouraged to use Standard Form 1449 to submit their quote. All offerors must propose a delivery schedule in their quotation. Contract award is anticipated by 1 June 2001. Proposals are due in this office by close of business on 17 May 2001.
