Description

Construct a Ground Winds II Instrument Housing Building at Mauna Loa, Hawaii. The work site is located near the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Observatory. The elevation at this site is approximately 11,300 feet (approx. 3,444.3 meters) above sea level. Work shall include the construction of a 450 square feet (approx. 41.8 square meters) 15 feet (approx. 4.6 meters) x 30 feet (approx. 9.2 meters) x 10 feet (approx. 3.1 meters) roof height Research Area and Dome Area wood building with Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) pitched roof. The construction project consists of building a concrete ramp, site earth work, trenching, connection of existing electrical service, grounding, cable tray, reinforced concrete foundation, concrete flat work, partial demolition of concrete pad; installation of beam tube, Government furnished ash dome and interior ladder. The work shall also include the installation of an 11 feet high (approx. 3.4 meters) steel column in the dome area of the building. The entire work shall be completed ready for use not later than 75 calendar days after the contractor receives notice to proceed. A bid guarantee, performance and payment bonds are required. The estimated price range of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns (NAICS Code 23332, Size Standard 27.5 Million).
