Description

The proposed acquisition listed herein is an 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 514191. The Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, Division of Acquisition Management intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Administration for Children and Families, Administration for Children, Youth and Families, Child Care Bureau (CCB) for the continued operation of the National Child Care Information Center. The contractor shall provide specialized child care expertise at a national level; establish a headquarters staff within the Washington Metropolitan area; employ additional field staff as necessary; provide topical experts and at least one information specialist bilingual in English and Spanish; provide on-site training, technical assistance (TA), materials development and research synthesis and evaluation on a variety of child care topics; supply information, research, publications, topical expertise and workshop leaders/speakers for CCB, state and regional meetings; support and promote the capacity of States to plan and evaluate statewide child care programs; develop or purchase TA materials and resources to promote outcome evaluation and quality improvement of child care programs; manage a library service and database that is searchable via the Web; develop collaborative linkages with CCB-sponsored child care initiatives; and, provide a variety of well qualified individuals and professional staff that can fulfill a broad spectrum of duties. The anticipated period of performance shall be one (1) twelve month base period and four (4) twelve month option periods. The RFP will be available approximately fifteen (15) days after issuance of this notice. The closing date will be approximately thirty (30) days after issuance of the RFP.
