Description

Then National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source contract with the SRI- Consulting Business Intelligence (SRIC-BI), 333 Ravenswood Avenue, Menlo Park, CA 94025, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1)-only one responsible source. The contractor shall provide technology, maps that describe, analyze and provide market data on all of the emergent technologies tracked and studied by SRIC-BI. Contractor shall also, provide regular updates on Technology Maps, monthly Viewpoints summarizing developments, telephone consulting service which will update and supplement the Maps, on-site consulting and presentations at NIST locations, research trip to Menlo Park for all NIST employees and staff, hard-copy and web-based copies of all Maps and Viewpoints, participation in NIST events and conferences. The government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price. The Government anticipates. The proposed requirement is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302 _Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition. The following statutory authorities (including applications and limitations) permit contracting without providing for full and open competition. Requirements for justifications to support the use of these authorities are in 6.303. The period of performance for this contract is for twelve (12) months from the expiration if the previous contract, June 28, 2001. This proposal also provides an option to extend the period for four additional one-year periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available. See Note 22.****
