Description

The Federal Correctional Complex at Beaumont, Texas is requesting offers for the purchase of (1) one new Class "A" roll-off container truck with hoist and automatic hydraulic tarper. This solicitation is for a Firm-Fixed Price, Commericial Item, Single Award Contract. The following information will serve as the solicitation and no other information will be sent out unless specifically requested by calling or faxing a request to one of the above numbers. The minimum generic requirements of this vehicle are as follows: conventional chassis configuration with setback front axle: 64,000 lbs. GVWR; 10.75 x 3.5 x .375, 110,000 psi frame; 262 wheel base; mounted air tanks; 20,000 lbs. front axle, 46,000 lbs. rear axles with driver controlled wheel dif-locks; air ride suspension suitable for off-road/land-fill use with hi-mount air bags; power steering with LH assist; diesel engine with 350HP, 1350FtLb torque, engine compression brake, water filter, low water sensor, 16.5cfm air compressor, HD batteries with 3000CCA; ten-speed transmission with 1450FtLb torque capacity and HD clutch; steel radial 20 ply rated 425/65R22.5 flotation front tires with cut and chip resistant sidewall protector ribs; steel radial 16 ply 11R24.5 cut, chip and hazard resistant log lugger design rear tires; aluminum cab, factory air ride, thermal insulation, large rear window, air ride drivers' seat, air conditioning, air horn, am/fm radio, Std. Gauges with (2) two axle and temperature gauges, pyrometer, manifold pressure gauge, hour-meter, trip odometer, and air pressure gauge; air dryer with heater; 70 gallon aluminum gas tank; additional air tank; fuel cooler; steel swept back bumper; fire extinguishers; stainless steel mirrors; 60,000 lbs. roll-off hoist capable of being rated to 75,000 lbs. with 4" x 10" x 1/2" heavy wall hoist main rail structure, lower mount rear hinge with straight through solid hinge pin welded and bolted to the main truck frame, full fenders with 1/8" steel interchangeable tread-plate, hoist under ride protector per ICC regulations, outside rails with greaseable rollers, inside and outside controls, (3) three-spool valve, front container lock, backup alarm, air shift PTO, front mounted steel tread plate hydraulic tank; and a hydraulic rack and pinion automatic tarper. The Government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government. The proposed cost or price must include all associated charges, fees and deliver costs (FOB Destination) to Beaumont, Texas. Contractor must deliver this vehicle as specified above within (30) thirty days from date of award. All offers must be received by the Contracting Officer specified above no later than 4:00 PM, CST, on May 9, 2001. Offers received after this date will not be considered.
