Description

This is a modification to the original synopsis dated 24 April 2001 for N62799-01-R-0009. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the miscellaneous repairs to Fuel Oil Barge YOGN-124. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: add throttle and remote clutch control, modify clutch, addition of pressure gage, repack gate valves, install/add-on to existing deck house, modify piping on deck install rubber fendering, and incidental related work. Vessel description: 165 feet long, 42 feet wide, 8 foot draft, 250 ton light displacement, and 350 ton full displacement. The scheduled dates of availability are 18 JUNE 01 to 20 July 01. The contractor will pick-up and deliver vessel. The RFP will be issued on or about 11 MAY 01. Proposals shall be due 04 JUNE 01. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms that do not possess either an ABR or an MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates.
