Description

The Program Support Center on behalf of the Office of Research Integrity (ORI)intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, 900 13th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35294-1260. The basis for this requirement is: Organize and implement a regional ORI conference in the Southeast on the teaching of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR). The Contractor shall provide the following: plan agenda and materials for the conference; propose speakers and determine availability of speakers; publicize the conference; create web site with conference information and registration forms; conduct pre-conference and on-site registrations; conduct conference and arrange for publication and distribution of conference executive summary. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals. No solicitation will be issued. It is anticipated that award of this requirement shall be on or about May 31, 2001.
