Description

The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to solicit Harwell Scientifics Ltd, 551 South Becquerel Avenue, Harwell Laboratory, Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 0RA, United Kingdom to acquire contractor services necessary to analyze radiological wipe test samples on various equipment. The period of performance will be from 15 June 2001 through 30 September 2002 (335 workdays). All radiological wipe samples shall be taken at Graseby Dynamics Limited (GDL), Park Avenue, Bushey, Watford WD2 2BW, United Kingdom, and it is of the utmost importance to have a vendor in the United Kingdom to conduct these samplings. Harwell Scientifics Ltd is being solicited pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) (FAR Part 6.302-1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A search for alternate vendors was sought for these services in April 1999 and again in April 2001 yielding no viable candidates. This combined synopsis/solicitation number is DAAD13-01-R-0031 and will close 31 May 2001. See Note 22.
