Description
17. Description: The US Army Simulation Training and Installation Command (STRICOM) is seeking information regarding the availability of a training system that will provide realistic precision gunnery training for SANG LAV Assault Gun (LAV-AG) crews (commanders, gunners, and drivers). The device will be used to provide entry level and sustainment gunnery training that will prepare LAV-AG crews, sections, and platoons for the LAV-AG Gunnery Tables I-X. The LAV-AG precision gunnery trainer must be capable of being linked to two existing LAV-25 Platoon AGTS for Company/Team Training and must use Computer Generated Forces similar to the existing LAV-25 AGTS. The gunnery scenarios must be capable of being conducted in both English and Arabic. A detailed description of the requirement for the SANG LAV-AG precision gunnery trainer may be found on STRICOM's home page www.stricom.army.mil/STRICOM/A-DIR/bus_op.html. Stated below is the Market Survey to be completed by any interested offeror. If interested, your response to the Market Survey should be submitted to Tiffany Johnson's EMAIL address: tiffany_johnson @stricom.army.mil NLT 8 June 2001. MARKET SURVEY Technical Approach -- 1) Hardware/software block diagram. 2) Description of how you intend to meet the LAV-AG Requirements (Description should be no more than 10 pages (8 1/2 X 11", 10 pitch). 3) Description of how your proposed trainer would meet the exercise training scenarios. 4) Explanation of how you intend to handle the Arabic translation requirement. Compatibility -- Describe your proposed systems compatibility / interoperability with the LAV-25 AGTS and its future growth potential. Cost -- 1) Rough Order of Magnitude for your proposed system and its installation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 2) Rough Order of Magnitude for the Training Course (para. 2.2.3) 3) Rough Order of Magnitude for three (3) years of Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) plus 90 day transition period to a follow on contractor. 4) Rough Order of Magnitude for spares during CLS period. Schedule -- 1) Proposed schedule for completion of in-plant Acceptance Testing. 2) Proposed schedule for completion of SANG training course. What is your proposed concept for providing Contractor Logistic Support? What is your Previous Precision Gunnery Virtual Simulation Experience?
