Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into negotiations for the acquisition of eight (8) Tool Set, Power Unit, NWS P/N TN905996. Required delivery date is 26 July 2001. The item is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item used in Intermediate and Depot Level Maintenance for the V-22. The Tool Set, Nose Wheel Steering will meet the requirements in the functional analysis. The Tool Set, Nose Wheel (P/N TN90596) is a padded case to store in one place the small peculiar tools required to overhaul the OMP4324-1 Steering Unit. Each tool has a contoured padded space to fit into. These tools are: motor assembly removal tool, motor assembly fixture, bypass valve removal tool, shaft seal installation tool, lower plate indexing tool, spur gear installation tool, and the locknut starter tool. The tool set can be carried by one man. The proposed acquisition is for an item that the Government does not own specifications or drawings. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal.
