Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Roll-Royce Corporation Indianapolis, IN for the acquisition of four (4) Lifting Engine Adapters P/N 2305539, three (3) T/M Aft Plug Protective P/N 23066611, five (5) T/M FWD Plug Protective P/N 23066610 and six (6) Engine Variable Compressor Vane Pin-Rigging P/N 6887829. Required delivery date is 16 November 2001. The items are Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items used in Organizational Level Maintenance for the V-22. The proposed acquisition is for items that the Government does not own specification or drawings. The technical data and drawings for the part number listed above are proprietary to Rolls-Royce Corporation. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE NUMBERED Notes 22
