Description

The Military District of Washington Acquistion Center on behalf of the National Defense University intends to award a contract on sole source basis with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area, Washington, D.C. for the acquisition of Senior Research Fellows, Research Fellows, Research Fellows, and Research Assistants to conduct studies and analyses, and provide educational and technical support for the National Defense University in areas such information technology, educational technology, international study, economics and finance. The proposed contract action is for a base year of twelve months and four twelve month options. Period of performance for the Base year June 12, 2001 through June 11, 2002. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22. The solicitation will be available on or about 8 May 2001. This proposed contract is a 100% small business set aside. The SIC code for this procurement is 8732 and the size standard is $5 million.
