Description

GSA is announcing its intent to issue a procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The contract will be a fixed price effort to provide information technology Cyberguard KnightSTAR 5U appliance, software license and maintenance support for use by HQ AMC/SC; Scott Air Force Base, IL 62225. Requirement is for each of the following items and quantities: (1) KnightSTAR 5U appliance, unlimited user license, high availability, one each; (2) Silver Appliance Support-8X5 local business hours immediate phone response, on-site advanced replacement within next business day, access to on-line knowledge base, proactive notifications, and software subscription service, one each; (3) 10/1000 Gigabit Card, two each; (4) Raid Controller Card, two each; (5) Port licenses Cyberguard Version 4.1 external interfaces GDSS FW, four each; and (6) Additional Hard drives required for Raid, one per 5U appliance, four each. Use of Cyberguard Corporation, is being considered to satisfy the Government's requirements. No other service provider is known to be capable of providing comparable software and support to meet the service requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation, reference Number 5TC5701C148. NAICS Code 511210, Computer Software Publishers, packaged, applies. Size standard is $18.0 million. This requirement is to provide the software licenses and maintenance identified. Period of performance is through September 2002. FAR 52.252-2 applies to this acquisition.
