Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) has a transition period requirement for one year and two six-month option periods for the Integrated Digital Network Exchange (IDNX) Maintenance Contract, DCA200-94-D-0037. The Contractor is Network Equipment Technologies (N.E.T.) Federal, Inc., 8300 Boone Blvd, Suite 600, Vienna, VA 22182-2626. Under this contract, N.E.T. provides standard and full coverage maintenance, to include support and software upgrades, for IDNX/MICRO-20 and PROMINA 200/400 chassis and common control logic boards at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. It is our intention to extend the existing contract for this transition period. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1). This sole source extends the contract in order to provide sufficient time for the transition of services to a new competitively awarded contract, referred to as DISN Support Global. See Numbered Note 22.
