Description

The Department of State, Diplomatic Telecommunications Service-Program Office (DTS-PO) is in the process of activating a new Western European Network (WEN). In order to fully utilize the WEN, the DTS-PO plans to hub other nearby posts into this network for onward connectivity. The modeling effort to select appropriate entry posts will utilize both technical merit and pricing. The information requested is for ROM pricing for full-time, end-to-end E-1 circuits between each location (embassy). Please access the Department of State, State Buy Page (http://www.statebuy.gov) to find the general description of the WEN, a sample of technical specifications for the circuits, and matrices for the requested information. It is not the intent of the DTS-PO to use the requested pricing for award purposes, rather for use as a modeling tool and other configuration purposes. This RFI has been extended for two weeks, it is requested that responses be submitted no later then 1630, May 25, 2001. This is not a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or an Announcement of a Solicitation.
