Description

The Bureau of the Census is requesting quotations on the following Unisys items to be shipped to Bowie, MD: (1 EA.) I/F: IX4400-CSIOP PCA Kit includes: (allows SCSI Disk) 1/Instl:CSIOP Rear Cover, 1/Module:Network Interface, 1/PWR Cord:iec320-c13/c14, 1/Instl:Channel Adptr Mod, 1/Cable:25Ft. Power Net, 1/Cable:2Ft PCN/TB, 1/Instl: 3U Feedthru w/20Ft; and (2 ea.) ADPTR: Diff SCSI 2W Ultra Controller Includes: 2/Cable: 20FT SCSI-R Cable. This hardware is required by the Bureau of the Census (BOC) to upgrade it's Unisys 4400 ClearPath system to attach StorageTek 9840 SCSI tape Drives to the system. These tape drives are required to migrate older technology tape media to new supported tape technology. The BOC currently has over 100,000 nine inch reels containing historical Census data that must be migrated to current technology. This procurement is set-aside for small business.
