This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source Purchase Order to Metalcraft Marine, Inc., 347 Wellington Street, Kingston, Ontario, Canada K7K 6N7, for five (5) each Kingston 23 workboats, P/N METCR KINGSTON 23. The workboats shall be installed on the Boat Davits currently installed on the 225' WLB Coast Guard cutters being constructed by Marinette Marine. This acquisition includes factory test reports, parts list, certificate of weight, and list of installation and check-out items. The U.S. Coast Guard has issued a Class Determination & Findings for Standardization of Various WLB Control Systems. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. No equals or alternate items shall be considered for this procurement. Award shall be made through Solicitation Number DTCG40-01-Q-50082. The solicitation shall be issued on or about 26 April 2001, via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ shall not be released. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS System for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Written quotations are due no later than 7 May 2001. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 336612 and size standard is 500 employees. This non-competitive acquisition shall be processed in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). All responsible sources that can provide the part number requested may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note 22. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
