Description

The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 with Praxair for the purchase of a 3000 gallon existing bulk oxygen tank and a 350 gallon new bulk oxygen tank. Intent is to purchase the existing tank to avoid changing out tank each time a new oxygen contract is awarded. This is considered in the best interest of the patients being treated at this medical center. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than cob on May 8, 2001 to the contracting officer indicated above. All offers from responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the VA.
