- Description
- The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Intrested persons may identify their intrest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based uponresponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be consideredsolely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government intends to make award to AVW AUDIO VISUAL, INC., (214)712-7088. This procurement is set aside for small business; only small businesses will be considered for award. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the formatin FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requestedand a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N00206-01-Q-C014 applies and is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-07 and DAC 91-13. The standard industrial code is 3651 and the business size in 750 employees. This requirement is for a fixed price contract for services as follows: line item 0001: Rental/setup/operation of audiovisual equipment for THE NAVAL RESERVE MANPOWER SUMMITS for 4-6 May, 11-13 May and 22-24 Jun 01 to be conducted at the Hyatt Regency at Reunion Dallas, TX 75207. Performance period as follows: 4-6May01, 11-13May01 and 22-24Jun01 to be conducted at the Hyatt Regency at Reunion Dallas, TX 75207. Acceptance to be made at Destination. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, applies. Addendum to FAR 52.214-4: paragraph (o) Warranty -- add: "additionally, the government will accept the contractor's commercial warranty." Add the following addendum clauses: FAR 52.211-5, New Material. Theclauses 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial items applies with the following applicable clauses for paragraph (b): FAR52.203-6, Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government -- Alternate I; FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity, FAR52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Veterans; FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; Far 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Inplement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defende Acpuisitions of Commercial Items, applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b): DFARS 252.225-7012, preference for certain domestic commodities,and DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy Amercian Act and Balance of Payments Program. The government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most adantageous to the gobernment considering price and price-related factors. This solicitation will be evaluated on the following factors: price related, technical and past performance are equal in importance. Quotations must be received no later than 3:00p.m., local time,02May01. Quotations sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to Supply Officer, 2300 General Meyer Avenue, Naval Support Activity, Bldg 11, New Orleans LA 70142-5007. All quotations not sent through the U.S. Mail will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried quotations mustbe delivered to the Purchasing Department, Bldg 11, Naval Support Activity, 2300 General Meyer Ave, New Orleans LA 70142-5007.
