Description
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW GYMNASIUM AND CLASSROOMS. Base Bid consists of constructing a new approximately 24,642 sq ft. gymnasium and four classrooms of approximately 5,250 sq ft. for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Riverside Indian School,Route 1, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required to perform all work in strict accordance with specifications, schedules, and drawings for the construction of a new gymnasium. Deductive Alternate No. 1 consists of deleting the requirements for the parking lot paving and parking lot lighting. Deductive Alternate No. 2 consists of deleting the requirement for the concrete archway and sign. The construction price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Award of any contract resulting from this solicitation shall be subject to Section (7)(b) of Pub. L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C.450 (e)) and 41 C.F.R. 1452.226-71 which require that preference in subcontracting be given to Indian/Alaska Native firms. Consistent with these authorities, bidders shall advertise and solicit subcontractors and suppliers from the Tribe(s) on or near the resevation(s) for which the contract will be performed. Potential awardee shall be required to submit its plan to implement Section (7)(b) when requested by the Contracting Officer. Failure by the bidder to submit their plan when required and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award of a contract or termination of award for default. In order to avoid any delay(s) after the bid opening, all required documents must be submitted with the bid or within specific time limits, as identified on the SF 1442, Solicitation, Offer and Award. The performance period for this procurement is 300 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Bid packages will be available on or around May 4, 2001 at a non-refundable cost of $110.00 per set payable in advance. Parties requesting bid package must do so in writing, stating the solicitation number or project name, complete company name and street address, telephone and facsmile numbers (including area codes). Make check or money order payable to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. A site visit will also scheduled for the bidders, at which time bidders will be allowed to examine the site. The bid opening will be held on June 4, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. (CST) at the Southern Plains Regional Office, Branch of Contracts and Property Management, P.O. Box 368, 1 Mile North on Hwy. 281, Anadarko, OK, 73005. This is an unrestricted acquisition. The contract will be awarded on a "All or None" basis.****
