Description

The Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation, Amman, Jordan requests qualification packages from U.S. firms and joint ventures who can qualify through experience with projects of similar nature and magnitude, for construction services for the construction of facilities and infrastructure on a portion of a 275 ha industrial estate site located east of the airport in Aqaba, Jordan. The project includes construction of access roads, site streets, administrative buildings, water tower, utility distribution systems, and storm water management. The anticipated construction period will be August 2001 to August 2002. The estimated price is greater that $10 million dollars (US). Payments will be made in US currency. Funding provided by USAID. Deadline for submissions of prequalification packages is May 24, 2001. Late submissions will not be considered. If a joint venture seeks prequalification, information for all firms in the joint venture must be submitted. Jordanian subcontractors are required to be class "A" in their specialties as classified by The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Jordan. Before submitting a bid, prequalified firms will be required to examine the work site.
