Description

The contract work consists of the construction of asphalt paving, specialty finished (heavy broom, light broom, rock salt finishes) concrete sidewalks and walkways, plaza, amphitheater, water features, fishing deck, concrete retaining walls, landscaping and fencing in support of the new Children's Discovery Center Murfree Springs Phase II, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Environmental Education/Ecosystem Restoration Project. Other work consists of construction of trash screen where 2 sewers enter the site and a weir to control water levels at the site. This solicitation will include with the base contract the following 9 options: (1) Arching fountains, (2) Fishing deck in pond, (3) Double level observation deck, (4) CDH entry, Left side fountain, (5) Pump house renovation, (6) Shade Pavilion, (7) Hand operated Fountain, (8)Broad Street entry fountain, (9) DH entry, right side fountain. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 08 May 2001; hard copies will not be available. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet at the following address: http://www.orn.usace.army.mil on or after issue date of the solicitation; No written or fax requests for solicitation package will be accepted. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Bids will be opened on or about 08 Jun, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Completion time for this project is 810 calendar days. This procurement is unrestricted. Small Business Subcontracting Plan per FAR 52.219-9 will be required for large businesses. The NAICS Code is 235710 with a size standard of $11.5 million dollars. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. Affirmative action to insure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract.
