- Description
- The overall effort of this contract involves a wide range of engineering services for support of "System Test, Evaluation and Effectiveness" of Battle Forces, Combat Systems and Weapon Systems. This effort includes support for both FMS and US land based and ship board equipment and systems designed to detect, track, identify, communicate, process, evaluate and control the engagement of targets. The Combat/Weapon Systems include: TOMAHAWK, RAM, TARTAR, HARPOON, NATO SEASPARROW, Re-Architectured NATO SEASPARROW, Evolved SEASPARROW, Ship Self Defense System, PHALANX Close In Weapon System, AEGIS and evolving combat/weapon systems. Specific areas of support include: Command and Control, missiles, guns, launchers, torpedoes, rockets, radars, sonar, electronic warfare, communications, navigation, fire control, and their associated interfaces, LANs/WANs, computer programs, Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS), Combat System Remote Control System (CSRCS), information technology peripherals and related land based assets. Any Government Furnished Equipment or Government Furnished Information required to perform a given task will be provided via the Task Order. The proposed contract will have a base year of approximately 36,000 manhours with four option years consisting of approximately 36,000 manhours per year. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract is anticipated. Current U.S. SECRET and appropriate facility clearance are required. The RFP will be available on or about 21 May 2001. The deadline for submitting the proposals will be 30 calendar days after the effective date of the RFP. All responsible parties may submit a proposal which will be considered. See Note 25.
