- Description
- Contractor to provide a physician that is *Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine to perform any and all MOD services as outlined in the Work Statement. These services will be performed in accordance with Pubic Law 104-262 and 38 USC 8153 in order to support the VA Roseburg Healthcare System (VA), 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg, Oregon, 97470. Physician must be able to start on June 4, 2001. If candidate is not available to start on June 4, 2001 offeror will be determined non-responsive, if after award it is determined candidate cannot start on June 4, 2001 contract shall be terminated for cause and award shall be made to next lowest offer. Price is an all-inclusive rate of per diem, travel, and price/cost. MOD Services for an estimated 608 hours. The work schedule will be determined at a later date by Inpatient Service Manager. The physician (s) shall be given a copy of the schedule. If the Offeror is submitting more than one physician to cover the terms and conditions of this contract, you shall submit a schedule along with your quote indicating the time frames that each physician will be scheduled to work. Contractor shall not rotate more than three providers in a three-month period. Providers need to be scheduled for one 4-hour shift for orientation/training prior to the start of their weekday shift, at the government's expense. * Process of determining contract award: VA Roseburg Healthcare System award preference will be as follows: 1) award to the lowest-priced responsive, responsible bidder who offers a Board Certified candidate; 2) if no qualified bidder offers a Board Certified candidate, then award to the lowest-priced responsive, responsible bidder who offers a Board Eligible candidate; 3) if no qualified bidder offers a Board Eligible candidate, then award to the lowest-priced responsive, responsible bidder who offers a candidate who is neither Board Certified nor Board Eligible but who is otherwise qualified for the position. Physician assigned by the contractor shall perform, but not limited to the following services: a. Shall be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of veterans presenting to the Urgent Care Department, as well as house physician coverage for those patients needing attention in med/surg, ICU, Step Down, Transitional Care Unit, Protective Care Unit, psychiatry and substance abuse. Each discipline has backup available by telephone, and within 30 minutes of the facility should they be needed. Physician assigned by the contractor shall be ACLS certified and have a professional education and degree applicable to medical staff members, e.g., MD, DO. This solicitation is set-aside for 100% small business. NAICS Code 621340/$5 million applies.
