SIC 4813 Communications/NAICS 5133 -- This procurement is a Small Business Set Aside, Solicitation No. 7TF-01-0014. This is a Request for Proposals to extend the Red River Army Depot's Local Area Network (LAN) to Elliott Lake in support of the Training and Conference (T&C) facility located in Texarkana, TX. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Negotiated Procurement. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous, representing the best value to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Past Performance/Experience (Contractor must submit at least two similar projects with references including Name, current telephone number, and place of performance/address.) and (2) Price. "Similar" is defined as a project where the contractor successfully completed a project in LAN Extension (laying optic cable and conducting fusion splicing). A Pre-proposal/Site Visit is scheduled as follows: 5/2/01 at 1:00 pm local time, at Red River Army Depot (RRAD), Bldg 184, Rm 37B, Texarkana, TX.
