Description
This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) synopsis. Information obtained as a result of this synopsis is for planning purposes only. It does not constitute an invitation for sealed bid or request for proposal (RFP), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the United States Air Force (USAF). The purpose of this announcement is to determine parties whom may be interested in a project of this type. The project is designated to be a design _ build delivery system, with a dollar magnitude between 1M and 5M dollars. The Tanker Alert Control Center Contingency Support Staff area comprising approximately 15,400 square feet located on the second floor will be redesigned into the Integrated Flight Management (IFM) facility. There will be 53 consoles located on the floor, each of which will contain 2 pc computers, 3 flat screen monitors (19_ min), one communications CPU and an 11_ communications touch screen. The ergonomic design will include monitor height determined by seating range, monitor viewing arc to determine monitor locations, maximum reach arc to determine communications device location and normal grip arc to determine relationship of the keyboard / mouse and reference lay down area. Cabling for each console will include a data, communications, power and video cable for each console. All consoles will be positioned on a raised floor (14_) with at; least one ramp for accessibility. Video wall requirements will include a 32_x10_ wall containing 60 -- 42_ video cubes, two controllers and associated cabling. Electrical requirements will include UPS systems. Mechanical systems will require redundant air handlers. Overhead and under floor fire detection systems are required. Lighting requires deep parabolics and task lighting in lay down areas specifically designed for computer center applications. Lighting in the two-story clear area will consist of indirect / direct fixtures. The entire IFM floor will consist of an open view area. Existing partition walls will be removed to facilitate this design and provide maximum viewing of the main video wall. Existing monitors will be relocated to the back of the facility. Demolition and new construction is required to include but not limited to moving walls, installing raised flooring, adding/removal of duct work, providing new electrical outlets and any other task that would be required, determined at a site visit. Acoustical treatment is required throughout. Responding vendors are requested to provide feedback within 14 days after the posting date of this notice. Vendors may express interest, make comments and ask questions via electronic mail or fax comments or questions to TSgt Charles Hampton, 375 CONS/LGCA, Scott AFB IL, 62225-5015, fax (618) 256-5237, or e-mail Charles.Hampton@scott.af.mil.
