Description

The U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office intends to award on a sole source basis to Alfred University for membership in the University Center for Glass Research (CGR). The period of performance is for one year. This is a sole source requirement because CGR is the only such membership program that provides a channel for direct dialogue and discussion with the glass research community. This membership entitles DOE to appoint a representative to the CGR Liaison Board and also to have as many technical representatives as needed to report research results and information about CGR activities to DOE. A firm-fixed priced award shall be made using simplified acquisition procedures in the amount of $33,000, the annual membership fee. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation. A solicitation document is not available. However, interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement via e-mail. The Government shall consider all responses received before May 7, 2001.
