Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a modification to contract N00024-95-C-4030 with Electric Boat Corporation, 75 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340 to provide pre-installation support for the VIRGINIA Class Turbine Generator (TG) set at the manufacturer, Northrop Grumman Marine Systems, in advance of delivery of the TG to the shipbuilder's facility. As the shipbuilder and design agent for the Virginia Class MPU and TG set, Electric Boat is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, data, and experience to identify and manage the required effort.
