Description

Non-personal services to repair one YC 1666 Barge, 110' L x 32' 6" W, 254,000 LBS (empty), sandblast entire barge, prime and paint in accordance with specifications. Apply non-skid material, replace all rubber and hand railings. Fabricate and install a locking bar/brace to hold the deck hatch open at a 90 degree angle from the deck. Nuser is Port Operations, 1325 Arleigh Burke Road, Naval Station, Ingleside, Tx 78362. Repairs to be completed at contractor's facility. Solicitation packet will be issued on 7 May 2001. The solicitation is set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. No telephone requests for RFQ packets will be accepted. Requests must be made in writing via fax or e-mail. Please include complete address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail and point of contact. The government will award a contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror, whose offer, conforms to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors will considered. Scope of work to be completed by 1 November 2001.
