Description
Long Term Monitoring (LTM), Operation & Maintenance (O&M), and Annual "Monitoring Report" for All Systems, Operable Unit 3, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. This announcement is 100% set-aside for small HUB-zone businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Fax requests for copy of Invitation For Bid solicitation to (907) 753-2544, attention: Ernest Woods. Contract award is anticipated for June 2001. This contract will be performed on Fort Wainwright, in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Contractor shall be responsible for the continued operations, monitoring, maintenance, sample collection, and analysis at Operable Unit 3 (OU3) treatment systems. There are currently nine Air Sparge/Soil Vapor Extraction (AS/SVE) systems, one Product Recovery System, and two ex-situ AS/SVE Cells operating in OU3. The Contractor shall also be responsible for studies in the pursuit to achieve Record of Decision (ROD) requirements for OU3. Part of this objective is to continually refine, enhance, and improve the performance of the remediation treatment systems in order to obtain ROD objectives in a timely and cost efficient manner. The Contractor shall perform the above tasks from 1 August -- 31 December 2001 as part of the base contract. There will also be an option to perform the same work for an additional twelve months, from 1 January -- 31 December 2002. The Contractor shall employ, for the purpose of performing contract work in the State of Alaska, individuals who are residents of the State, and who, in the case of any craft or trade, possess or would be able to acquire promptly the necessary skills to perform the contract. This means that work physically completed in the state of Alaska, i.e., geotechnical, survey, etc., must use Alaska residents.
