Description

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, proposes to issue a sole source contract to Aqua Control Supply Division for refurbishing the Water Treatment Plant on the Mat Sinking Unit (MSU). Aqua Control Supply located in Katy, TX and sold to the MSU in l990 manufactured the plant. The unit is an Aqua Treat Model 7100, S/N 1380. The manufacturer will be responsible for furnishing all parts to bring the unit up to today's standards of water treatment. This will include but will not be limited to the following: replacement of the old control panel, with a new control panel, Model No. CC4888-230X531 with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), necessary pumps, filter media, and all other required components to ensure the plant produces Potable Quality drinking water for the crew of the MSU. Additionally, the manufacturer will be responsible for inspection of the unit after it has been reassembled by government personnel and for programming the PLC for proper operation of the plant and for start up of the plant after assembly and programming of the PLC control panel. A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the supplies referenced above is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after its publication. This is not a request for quotations and there is no solicitation available at this time. See numbered Note 22.
