- Description
- Sonic drilling with continuous coring for soil borings and monitoring well installation at the Logistics Center, Fort Lewis, Washington. The Logistics center is a Superfund site, therefore, the Contractor will be responsible for the preparation of a health and safety plan and workers will require safety training in compliance with OSHA, 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response. Work is anticipated to be in Level D protection. Monitoring well completion will be both standard Level D protection. Monitoring well completion will be both standard 2 inch PVC and screened at multiple levels capable of being isolated into discreet sampling zones within a single boring. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications package. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD-Rom format only. EBS CD-ROM compact disks with plans and specs will be available on or about 10 May 2001 at no charge per set. The disks will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. Requests must be made by completing the form at: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/. No phone or fax requests accepted. After the solicitation is issued, compact disks will be mailed to registered firms. The disks may also be picked up from Seattle District's Contracting Division located at 4735 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Register at the web site at least 7 calendar days before the issue date to assist in having an adequate number of disks made. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $250,000.00 to $500,000.00 with a completion period of 360 calendar days. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code has been replaced by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code. The NAICS code for this project is 235810, which is matched to SIC Code 1781. Project is open to both large and small business concerns. If you are a large business and your bid or proposal will exceed $500,000.00, you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $11.5 million.
