Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to issue a Purchase Order to Systems Innovations, Inc. for a WeatherScene Road Monitoring System (Video Only). The WeatherScene Road Monitoring System is a remote video-based monitoring system that operates on a single unit that is solar powered and can transit still images by a cellular phone modem. This equipment will be used for accomplishing field operational testing at the Acadia National Park. Some additional specifications of this equipment include: a camera, controller, solar panel and battery back-up that is readily integrated with one another so that the items function as a cohesive unit, a ready-to-operate package that is deployed and operable in a short time frame. This video monitoring product is already integrated in its hardware, software and communication. Systems Innovations is the manufacturer of the WeatherScene Road Monitoring System and is the only source available for this product. Potential offerors who have a monitoring system that is equivalent or exceeds the above specifications in addition to providing installation, operating manuals and operational training, email your Specifications if you would like your product to be considered but it must be equivalent or exceed all of the specifications listed above or it will not be considered. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is May 4, 2001.
